Baked Apples with Honey, Dried Cherries, and Cinnamon

Baked Apples with Honey, Dried Cherries, and Cinnamon

Baked apples with dried cherries and honey make for a perfect warm dessert, especially on colder days. The chestnut cream adds a unique and refined touch – it is a delightful combination!

 Ingredients:

3 apples

2 tablespoons honey

24 dried cherries (or raisins or cranberries)

Cinnamon

Preparation:

Wash the apples thoroughly, then cut them in half and remove the cores. Place the apple halves on a baking tray. Brush each half with a thin layer of honey. Fill the hollowed center of each apple with four dried cherries and then sprinkle with cinnamon. Bake for about 30 minutes in an oven preheated to 380°F (190°C). If the apples are larger, bake for 40–45 minutes.

Serve hot, either on their own or with a topping of chestnut cream for an extra touch of flavor.
