Spelt Pizza Recipe

Pizza Dough:

Toppings:

  • 80g pizza sauce
  • 200g gouda cheese
  • 150g mozzarella cheese
  • Mushrooms, onions, pepper, olives, etc. (your choice)

 

Prepare the Dough (a few hours ahead):

    • In a bowl, combine the spelt flour, salt, and olive oil.
    • In a separate cup, pour the warm water, add a pinch of sugar, and sprinkle in the yeast. Stir well to dissolve the yeast completely.
    • Pour the yeast mixture into the flour mixture and stir to combine.
    • Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
    • Cover the dough with plastic wrap and place it in warm place.
  1. Prepare the Toppings:
    • Grate the gouda and mozzarella cheese using a coarse grater.
    • Prepare pizza sauce
    • Prepare other topping (mushrooms, onions, olives, etc.)
  2. Assemble the Pizza:
    • Preheat the oven to 435 F
    • Grease a baking tray lightly with olive oil.
    • Take a dough and knead gently again. Roll out the dough on the pizza tray, stretching it to cover the surface with a thin layer.
    • Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the dough.
    • Sprinkle mozzarella and gouda cheese over the sauce.
    • Add other toppings.
  3. Bake:
    • Place the pizza on the top rack of the oven and bake for about 15-17 minutes, or until the crust is golden and crispy.
