Spelt Pizza Recipe

Pizza Dough:
- 240g spelt flour
- check out our flour collection - 20g yeast
- 130ml water
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- A pinch of sugar
Toppings:
- 80g pizza sauce
- 200g gouda cheese
- 150g mozzarella cheese
- Mushrooms, onions, pepper, olives, etc. (your choice)
Prepare the Dough (a few hours ahead):
- In a bowl, combine the spelt flour, salt, and olive oil.
- In a separate cup, pour the warm water, add a pinch of sugar, and sprinkle in the yeast. Stir well to dissolve the yeast completely.
- Pour the yeast mixture into the flour mixture and stir to combine.
- Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Cover the dough with plastic wrap and place it in warm place.
- Prepare the Toppings:
- Grate the gouda and mozzarella cheese using a coarse grater.
- Prepare pizza sauce
- Prepare other topping (mushrooms, onions, olives, etc.)
- Assemble the Pizza:
- Preheat the oven to 435 F
- Grease a baking tray lightly with olive oil.
- Take a dough and knead gently again. Roll out the dough on the pizza tray, stretching it to cover the surface with a thin layer.
- Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the dough.
- Sprinkle mozzarella and gouda cheese over the sauce.
- Add other toppings.
- Bake:
- Place the pizza on the top rack of the oven and bake for about 15-17 minutes, or until the crust is golden and crispy.
