Almond Chocolate Cake
There are some baked goods that come together from just a few simple ingredients, yet delight with their wonderful flavor and aroma. This almond chocolate cake is one of them. The base of the recipe is almonds, which have been valued for centuries not only for their delicate taste but also for their nutritional benefits. Special attention to almonds was given by Hildegard of Bingen, who considered them one of the most valuable foods for supporting the body and nourishing the brain.
In this recipe, almonds are combined with cocoa and an aromatic “cookies of joy” spice blend. This mixture contains warming spices: cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves, which give the cake its beautiful, slightly spicy aroma.
Thanks to this combination of ingredients, the result is a fragrant cake that is very quick to prepare. And most importantly—it can be enjoyed with real pleasure.
